How to Permanently remove the irritating ads on ThePiratebay ! –Google Chrome

Almost anyone who has visited Piratebay would’ve been forced with a ton of irritating pop up ads. The ads are the site’s lifeline and it helps them earn more revenue.  It is estimated that the ads on Piratebay help it to make more than a million dollars. But it gets annoying when Piratebay throws up their ‘unfair & dirty’ adverts

to boost their profits. If you use chrome browser, you can use Ad blocking extensions like Piratebay ad remover & Adblock . Firefox users find Adblock plus add-on useful to eliminate these ads. But these are temporary ways to block the ads.

A powerful but simple way to permanently block the ads as of now without using any of these extensions exists. As extensions are susceptible to crash,
this technique will assure you guaranteed removal of ads.
In Google Chrome, type chrome://settings/content in address bar

Under JavaScript click on ‘Manage exceptions..’ button.

Under the hostname pattern entry, enter [*.]thepiratebay.sx and choose Behavior as ‘Block’. This setting blocks the Javascript code that runs on that site every time you visit it. The Javascript works fine for the sites except Piratebay now. Finally hit the ‘Done’ button.

Now if you visit Piratebay, you will see the following
The ads will be replaced with ‘Your browser does not support Javascript. Update it for a better user experience’ in place of the annoying ads!

**This method is old, check out the new technique here

  3. "It is right that closing any pop-up from ‘Task Manager’ is the best option.

How to find out which is the “pop-up” programme should be closed ? Because, it is a long list of programmes in the task manager and their unfamiliar names make no sense to me."

  8. Can someone help me figure out why this won’t work over an SSH tunnel or VPN? Everything works like its supposed to on the local network but through the tunnel I get an instant connection reset in firefox. When I try to havigate to the router IP of 192.168.2.1 I get an instant connection reset, but when I append the port 81 (192.168.2.1:81) it get’s me right into the dd-wrt interface. I think the firewall redirect isn’t working on these remote connections but don’t know enough yet to fix on my own.
